Boy Scouts

Chartered by the Rose Valley Folk in 1953, Boy Scout Troop 272 performs service projects for Rose Valley and the surrounding communities, including picking up trash along Rose Valley Road through PennDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

The Troop is well known for their Christmas trees each December at the corner of Brookhaven and Rose Valley Roads.

Troop 272 annually sends Scouts to Troop, Council, and National youth leadership development training programs.

The Troop is especially proud of its 100+ Eagle Scouts.

Every year, Scouts plan a calendar of trips and activities, including camping, rock climbing, caving, canoeing, sailing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, cycling, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, and more. They also participate in Klondikes (skills competitions) and Jamborees.

The Folk provide the Troop with a meeting place for their troop and Patrol Leader Council meetings. Click HERE to visit the Troop’s site and learn more about them.
